Dr. Sarah Jade Stevens is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Beverly Hills, California, USA.  She has worked in a variety of settings – providing therapy to young children and their caregivers to improve and strengthen the caregiver-child bonds – to serving as Clinical Director of an anxiety institute in Los Angeles with an international, treatment-resistant clientele. In addition to working in her practice, she spends time creating accessible resources for individuals who would not otherwise be able to access individual treatment due to geographical location, lack of specialists, or financial constraints.

Much like the mission of Safe Haven, she believes the role of the medical professional reaches beyond the healing the occurs within the therapeutic relationship to supporting an individual’s personal independence.  Ultimately, the goal is to teach the individual and the family to become the expert of their own health. For this reason, she teaches her clients to become their own therapists over time.  Being able to manage one’s own symptoms is both the goal and the reward.

Dr. Stevens is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF), and the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA).
